This chest of drawers opens with three rows of molded drawers carved at each end with a stylized shell.

The Regency style lasted for a short time, from 1715 to 1723. It is a transitional style between the Louis XIV and Louis XV styles.
It is characterised by the softening of the lines, by its lightness and elegance (invention of the curved line).
The word crossbow comes from the specific line followed by the drawer fronts.
