His talent is multiple, poster artist, caricaturist, symbolist paintings, portraits, lawyers, genre scenes like our work.
Gaston Hoffmann, with a lively, modern touch, offers us a bucolic vision close to the 18th century.
An enchanting pastoral scene, in which a shepherdess dressed in the style of Marie-Antoinette is serenaded
under a blossoming tree.
The branch of the blossoming tree reminds us of Japanese apple trees, giving this work an exotic touch and accentuating the reverie.
The landscape is undulating, filled with luminous pastel colors and the sheep graze peacefully.
The artist offers the viewer a moment of contemplation, calm and gentleness.
