He trained at the School of Fine Arts in Venice.

He devoted himself almost exclusively to painting views of Venice, canals and monuments, some seascapes of the lagoon or the Adriatic, and the immediate surroundings.
However, in Paris he also painted the banks and bridges of the Seine, and in Martigues the canals of "the Venice of Provence".

Painter of water landscapes, he did not disdain the effects of sunset.
His touch is lively, in the form of nervous strokes that with the warm colors bring a shimmering side to the paintings.
