And the critics were already praising his talent: "We must praise the election of Mr. Raymond Feuillatte, who is a fine artist" (Comoedia, July 10, 1933). The two-year, 18,000 F contract not only enabled him to travel around Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco, but also to exhibit his work there.

At an exhibition in Tunis in 1934, the newspaper 'Le Petit Matin' reported the following. On this occasion, a columnist praised the stylistic evolution of the artist, who brings a softer hue than previously to his African canvases; the interior scenes show nuanced characters of figures conceived in remarkably fresh and rich tones". ('L'Afrique du Nord illustré', December 8, 1934, p. 9).

His paintings, which he brings back from the Maghreb, are shimmering and vibrant, and arouse great emotion in those who look at them.

In 1936, one of his paintings, "Les deux cavaliers", was selected to represent French art at the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games.
His works are included in the collections of the Centre Pompidou.
