A student of German Hernandez, he exhibited in Madrid in 1876, then in Berlin and Dresden.
Having become a naturalized French citizen, he was included in the Salon des Artistes Français at the 1900 Exhibition in Paris. He had a certain vogue as a genre painter, among others, Cervantes.
He excels especially in the production of small formats, landscapes and genre scenes.
