Megyesi Schwartz Antal
Born in Hungary, he studied art.
He worked for a while as a graphic designer in Budapest after the First World War
Then he decided to devote his career to portraits and travelled throughout Europe.
In particular, he travelled to Paris where he painted our portrait.
He then emigrated to Latin America where he continued his career.
Many museums have his works

This luminous portrait
presents us with a woman of the world, whether bourgeois or aristocratic,
history doesn't yet know.
The painter located the work in Paris and dated it 1935.
Our "mysterious" is called "La dame à la rose" (the lady with the rose)
in honor of the rose delicately worn on her dress
