MARTIN Etienne 1858-1945
He was a student of Vollon. He exhibited in Paris from 1878 to 1904 at the Salon des artistes Français, of which he became a member in 1892.
He received an honorable mention in 1865, a silver medal in 1865 and a silver medal in 1889 at the Universal Exhibition.
He founded and became curator of the Musée des Beaux-Arts de la ville de DigneS
His paintings are always very luminous, and some of his landscapes are reminiscent of the Barbizon spirit.
