PAÏL Edouard

Born October 17, 1851 in Corbigny (Nièvre). Died in 1916 at

Nevers (Nièvre). ^xixc-xxc centuries. French.

Painter of genre scenes, animated landscapes and landscapes, n was a pupil of Lavoignat. He made his Paris debut at the 1870 Salon, of which he was a member from 1888 (Salon des Artistes Français). He was awarded an honorable mention in 1887 and a third-class medal in 1893.

A landscape painter, he was particularly fond of depicting fields of heather.
