Iwill’spaintings are full of tenderness. These subjects are often rendered in the same colors he lets burst onto the canvas insubtle shades of the same color
He devoted his entire life to landscapes, travelling tirelessly from Venice to Normandy, but also to the Pas-de-Calais and Flanders, the outskirts of Paris and Brittany.
Iwill 's paintings are full of softness.
The artist’s palette is dominated by shades of purple, gray, and blue for the sky and ground, contrasting with the warm yellow and orange lights of the open-air café. The brushwork is fluid, sometimes blurred, creating a misty and poetic effect that evokes both the calm of the night and the quiet bustle of everyday life.
This painting is a tribute to the romantic and folksy atmosphere of open-air cafés, blending realism with poetic sensibility—a hallmark of Iwill’s work.
