Paul Emile LECOMTE 1877-1950

Nephew of painter Paul Lecomte, Paul Emile Lecomte studied with his uncle before joining Cormon's studio at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris.
Paul Emile Lecomte was inspired by many artists, from the Impressionists to the moderns.

He became a painter for the Ministry of the Navy, and regularly took part in the Salon des Artistes français, of which he was a member from 1902, winning the gold medal.
