He studied at the Beaux-Arts in Munich and in Paris and exhibited his first paintings, close to the Fauve movement, in one of the biggest Parisian galleries, the Bernheim Gallery.
He settled and lived in the Montmartre of the avant-garde where he frequented Derain, Picasso, Soutine ...
His paintings are very recognizable by his knife technique and his very colorful palette.
He exhibited at the Autumn Salon in 1912, 1913 and 1919.
He realized the portraits of contemporaries like Léonard Foujita, Antoine Bourdelle....
The bankers David David-Weill, regent of the Bank of France, grants him to Wladimir de Terlikowski financial support throughout his life.
