Swieykowski exhibited in the most important Parisian salons and his career was crowned with medals.
His early paintings are painted in a classical style, which evolves over time towards post-impressionism, and even, in some works, a slightly fauvist touch.
He did some history paintings, but he was especially fond of landscapes, of Normandy or Savoy. He also painted still lifes, more intimate, refreshing and colourful works.
He is a lover of "sun and light", as we read.
Two monographic exhibitions have been devoted to him in France.
