Nicolas Landau (1887-1979)
was nicknamed the Prince of Antiquaries and greatly influenced the taste of his contemporaries.
He gave pride of place to scientific instruments, objects of curiosity and trompe l'oeil, and was the gallery owner of the Surrealists.

Axel Vervoordt,
is a picturesque antique dealer and decorator.
An elusive man, he shares Nicolas Landau's passion for the art of his time and unusual objects.
He created a whole series of Cabinets of Curiosity, based on objects from Nicolas Landau's collection. The one we are proposing is entitled "L'ancien naît moderne".
