The lady's desk is a small desk with four high legs and a belt with or without drawers.
Sometimes the top is covered with morocco and framed with a copper gallery to prevent objects from falling off.
This furniture sometimes has a writing tablet or a folding tray or pull-out shelves to enlarge the writing space.
Our desk is also called a sloped desk: a secretary's desk with a sloping surface that opens, used for correspondence and fitted with shelves for filing.
